My OH has an Intense Primer. Getting it into her head that shorter cranks will stop all her pedal strikes she now has me searching for compatible cranks in 165mm flavour.
Currently has 175mm Truvativ Stylo carbon ones on a 12spd eagle set up. Bike is 2018 model.

Firstly wondering what is the easiest (cheapest) way into a new set up and will it be easier to buy cranks/bb together giving more choice. We cannot find anything in 165 that i believe will fit straight in...
Any reccomendations welcome, thanks in advance.

Is switching to a square taper BB as cranks an option? Probably the cheapest way of getting 165mm cranks. Eg sugino rd or one of the rebrands of the same like spa XD. Not sure how chainring compatibility would work with the eagle but I'd guess you can find a 34t chainring that will work.

You can get Sram cranks compatible with your current set up in 165mm readily easily. Zyro the importer bring them in, so most shops can get them. You need to know whether its GXP or BB30 or Dub. Once you know that you only need the arms (you could reuse your ring) but your more likely to find a complete crank. Any direct mount SRAM MTB crank with the right BB standard will work.

That's pretty good, they're much cheaper and easier to find than I assumed they would be.
