Hiya,

I've notice lots of little cracks along the sidewall of my DHF.

The tyre isn't more than a year old, low mileage.

Not gashes, or scratches, definitely cracks in the rubber, looks prematurely aged.

This a bad batch? Otherwise the tyre rides fine, tread is on good nick.

Do you use anything more than soapy water to wash your bike? Stuff like MucOff will prematurely age-harden elastomers

Weird. I've just binned a pair of 1yr old Vittoria road tyres because they were cracked up like very old perished tyres. I also assumed bad batch. Sorry OP, I'm no help.

I’ve got a dhf that’s a year or 2 old that only gets used in the summer (Magic Mary goes on once the weather gets gopping). Tread is fine - but where the Maxxis logo is it seems to be starting to come away from the side wall - and the tyre is constantly seeping clear liquid out the side.

I’ve never had a dhf do this before - and the sealant is fresh etc. Weird.

Never washed them with anything harsh or indeed much at all.

Stored in a garage.

Not happening to any of the other tyres, inc the rear tyre.

It's a Maxx terra, so not super soft compound. As I say tread is fine.

Weird.
