[#2950828]

I have just inspected my rear wheel after cleaning and there is about a 10mm crack 5mm each side of the nipple eyelet - The rest of this rim is fine so I guess the spoke has pulled a bit - Now running with 1 less spoke is not a biggy on a 32 holed rim (DT Swiss 5.1D) but do you think the rim will eventually die? Piccy to follow:

Edit: I mean fail sometime soon? 🙄

bin job IMO. that will significantly weaken the rim.

You can see the dent in the rim that caused the crack to start.
Top picture, right of the spoke.
The rim is scrap as the crack will keep growing until BANG and your walk starts.
I had a 717 rear rim where it lost 60 grams in brake wear before I noticed 13 of the nipple holes had small cracks radiating around the wheel (90 degrees to your crack). Still running true, but time to die.

I've ridden a few rims with similar and worse damage, they last surprisingly well. I'd keep riding it till it dies, you'll be past caring pretty soon.
