[#3758912]

So my hard working Rocky Mountain Blizzard has cracked at the drive side chainstay, its the silver and white version and is lovely, I'm gutted.

As I'm a touch skint at the moment I'm thinking of replacing it with a Ragley Piglet as a temporary measure, any horror stories out there? and what shall I replace it with in the long term? looking for something to build up nice and light.

I could get it repaired, has anyone had it done and how much(ish) would it cost?
But still wouldn't be able to get that paint job back.

The blizzard isn't the lightest 853 frame out there. I have always ran it with a 120 fork as I felt it rode better with that than a 100.

The blizzard is a steel bike is it not. Why not get a Pipedream Scion R853. I have a couple hanging on the wall in the shop and they are a lovely thing.

There are closeup photos of the frame on my website
www.thecycleclinic.co.uk that are not on the pipedream site.

A repair might no cost too much. I've seen people braze on wee patches.
