[#5730328]

My mate had a hip replacement op earlier this year. Recovering well and back on the bike but the cold is setting in and giving him a bit of jip on the hip when the temp dips below 5 degC.

Currently wearing some thermal Lusso tights over his bib shorts but this ain't warm enough. Other recommendations?

TIA

I dont know if the lusso are fleece lined but there are endura ones that have a fleece on the inside. I have some 3/4 ones that work very well. So if the lusso dont have the fleece then maybe the enduras might help. As with all cold issues on legs and arms, the body core robs the blood going to the extremes (fingers/toes) to keep the core alive, so making sure the core is also suitably warm will help too.

Thanks. The Lussos are lined, but not mega thick. I'll have a look at the Endura ones. Good advice about keeping the core warm - thanks.

Craft warm 3/4 base layer between shorts and tights.
