So the new frame is complete. Just took it out for a quick 15 miler over the North Downs. Really quick, light, agile and FUN! I have christened the bike 'Ginger' - on paper it shouldn't look good, Orange/Blue/Gold combo but somehow, it does. Running a 1x10 setup for the first time and love it.....

Looks great - blue and orange is a classic combo. How do you find the 1x10?
How do you find the 1x10?
Took a bit of fettling - particularly with the superstar chain guide - but now working fine. I think the real fettling is going to be getting the gear ratio right. I went for a (quite big) 38t front chainring and a 11-36 cassette. It got me round all of the hills today but will be a real struggle on some that I know about so a 36t could be an option. I think on a smaller chainring I would certainly lose the 11t on the back but I could always coast!

Hey, love it man those colours rock. I'm in the process of purchasing a handjob as well, looking to build up a 1x10 too. Going to be my first build and pretty new to the whole idea as I've never built up a frame before. How does the 1x10 feel on this bike? Any tips or recommendations for my build?

HJ's are great, have they beefed them up now? I broke 2 in the 90's

They certainly seem to be sturdy enough. I'm 11st and have taken it over some gnarly stuff - all good. Welding and paint work seem better on this than my Stiffee from a few years earlier.
Orange and blue for the win, I had something similar.
