[#2248983]

I just bought a 2009 cove hummer on ebay. How do i determine its exact year. There is a number looks like 110311 then underneath 18. This is under bottom bracket.

Also i was thinking of putting on a set of on one cabon forks for road riding as i have two bikes and i want to use this to go out with a friend with a road bike. These carbon forks are 440mm axle to crown which i think is equivalent to 80mm suspension forks. Will this be ok or would there be problems as cove recommend 100-130 suspension forks?

Any advice welcome or thoughts.

440mm rigid forks are roughly equivalent to a sagged 100mm suspension fork, so it should be fine. Don't know about the hummer, but if it's anything like the handjob (which a friend has rigid) then it'll be great.

Can't help with the serial number I'm afraid.

Hi that's helpful. I was thinking 440 rigid equals 80mm suspension but you'r right sagged is less. Other point is that bike is 18 inch and fractionally big so lower fork would drop the top tube slightly which would help.
