As anyone here set up is own courier/messenger company?
What things should I be looking at if lets just said I'd like to do the same?
I know the best way to go is starting small, with one bloke at dispatch and another one pedalling but I am pretty sure there is more to it.
Any pointers would be gladly appreciated.

I worked for a small courier company years ago

Cashflow and getting a client base will be the hardest thing You need a few folk - a controller and a couple of couriers at least otherwise too often you will have to refuse jobs

Cutthroat business to be in. A lot of competition. Better off working for an existing company

Would one person delivering parcels make enough money to cover the pay for two people?

And the person doing the dispatch would have bugger all to do most of the time while the delivery guy would be pedalling his legs off.

Juan,
There's a bike messenger company in saint etienne. Can't remember their name, but might be interesting to talk to them (small company in a small town).
