[#12861110]

I'm staying in Aberdeen for a few days this week and looking on Trailforks Countesswells is a stone's throw from my hotel. I'm arriving late-ish tomorrow and I thought that would do for a wee blast round the forest. Problem is the trails are all showing closed. Is this the case? Thanks.

it was pretty much flattened with the storms and forestry have been in to clear most of it. What trails there are left to ride I'm unsure as I've avoided it since the storms. The shared paths will be open I'd imagine

At that end of town you wouldn’t be too far a drive from Pitfichie, Durris, Scolty or even the new trails at Tarland.
Plenty of daylight at this time of year.

Shop ride around Pitfichie by Bike Bothy Pitfichie at 6.30pm

Kirkhill has officially re-opened now too, and is closer, but personally I'd go ride Pitfichie, Scolty, Aboyne or Tarland (the last one being the new £1m trail centre, everywhere else is rocky, rooty tech).
