Would i regret selling my Cotic Soul and building up an on one Whippet to run singlespeed?
Should add, i have a 120mm full suss for more techy stuff, and i have ridden ss before.
Sadly only allowed a "one in, one out" on purchase of bikes.
very different bikes! Had a whippet and great fun but it is a pure racing machine as its stiff as a stiff thing on steroids.....mine weighed in at 19lbs!
Thats part of my dilemma, will i feel like ive been in shaken to bits every time i ride the whippet? Just want to thrash it in the mud and have fun.
It is very stiff and unforgiving especially when riding fast/hard having said that i did a merida marathon on mine too and quite enjoyed it. i'd say have a go, on-one are doing the frames for under £300 at the moment! And they are certainly fun btw!
