[#11649691]

Morning Folks,

I've been looking for a good solid hard tail for a while and have decided that the Cotic BFE Max could well be the one. I like the slack angles, the fact that its a 29er and the design looks pretty funky.....it looks to be a bit expensive though, but i can fudge it.

Obviously getting a demo one is pretty impossible at the mo. Has anyone got one? Any experiences with the brand good / bad / indifferent?

Any other recommendations?

Ta!

If you buy a Cotic you'll quickly find out that they are one of the best in terms of customer service. I own a FlareMax and love it. Don't have any experience with the new BFE MAX but I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Cotic is an iconic British brand. Very nice guys. Only heard good things about them. I have an old bfe hardtail and still going strong. Think there hardtails are one of the best. Have a look at the cotic solarismax more or an all rounder than a charger. They have long chainstays and long so will be pretty grounded. Have a look at Stanton bikes too. They have different styles of hardtails. Only heard great things as well.

Not much differences in a hardtail tbh. Look for the spec and colour you want and go for that. Also good luck finding something in stock lol

@lamp the 27.5 Bfe is one I looked at for a new hardtail. Quite a few others I've checked out too. Lots of bikes have good geo just not in stock ๐Ÿ™ Going with a frame I had in the garage for the time being.

For a company that makes such nice bikes, their website is appalling.

Not sure what the issue is with the website, there's more detailed info on their site than most.

I have a BFeMax, I love it, corners, climbs and des ends brilliantly, and has a great comfort to the ride too. Thoroughly recommend it.

It's my third Cotic, and as others above have said, they're a great company to deal with.

Walleater has recently acquired a Mk1 BFe (from One Up's J-Claw, I think) and is currently ragging the Squamish trails on it.

Cotic are really good to deal with. I've not riden a BFe Max but I am more than happy with my Gen 5 BFe and Bfe 275. The website is informative and clear, what else do you need?

@honourablegeorge what size wheels are you running?

The website is very informative and it's easy to pick which components you want.

Top input as always!

BFeMax is 29er only, that's what I'm on. 2 5 29er Dhf up front, 2 3 Aggressor rear

I have a 2018 27.5 BFe and had a BFE Max, the 27.5 is a keeper, but the Max was not.
Nice bike but I preferred the Bird Zero 29, nothing specific I just seemed to enjoy riding it more...
You can't go wrong with either, and they are both great Companies to deal with.
