The video on Hope Tech is for Hope Pro 2 which looks slightly different, it shows that you can just pull out the QR spacer out, fit the 20mm adaptor then push in the retainig ring with a pen.
Not happening with me new Hoop hubs....

Hah! Done it!! Needed a rubber kitchen glove to get decent purchase and then a Maxle to knock out the other spacer
