Following an earlier thread where the general opinion was that the proprietary handlebar mount for the 1080p was a bit pants, a friend machined a prototype from a billet of aluminium for me. I shot a series of clips this weekend which I am going to post up on Vimeo when I have finished editing it all. The following clip was the Tightrope section in Thetford. The main aim was to see how the mount performed and I rode over progressively bumpy terrain as the ride went on. The test bed for the ride was a Swift in rigid mode to try and eliminate any damping effect suspension may have had on camera wobble. I think it went quite well.
Seems to work very but it doesn't give a clue to how steep the trail was. ๐
Precipitous... you know what Thetford is like! ๐
