I have got one of these and there are a couple of things I'd like to ask about.
Settings... what settings do you use? I haven't really been able to find one that gives me the crisp, HD image I'd expect on a 1080p camera. It may just be that I'm setting it up wrong.
The handlebar mount, is it any good? I saw one called the XL on CRC, I guess that works for normal and oversized bars then or are there two types?
i got one recently, went for a ride and was great, but only out side the quality looked shit from inside. but after a few tries now works everywhere. was most bizzare
maybe dust or something.
Ive been using the 720p version for about 8 months... Ive tried a few different mounts...
The handle bar mount wasn't that great... a lot of camera shake, but good if you want to point it to wards your self for a different perspective, all be it with terrible camera shake..
Flat surface mount, mounted on the side if my pisspot type helmet.. this gave the least camera shake.. good quality, but unfortunately had to spend a lot of time cropping out the corner of the footage due to the helmet being in shot..
Vented helmet mount is good.. but you need to tighten up the chin strap or you will still get terrible camera shake..
Ive not used the 1080 as yet.. but from what Ive read.. they recommend using it at the HD 720p setting for fast moving footage, It reduces blur and rolling shutter effect...
I use the 720p setting for mine it has a faster frame rate, which cuts down on the 'blur' - but had to have a play around first before I found this out....
Helmet Mount - 1080p
Helmet Mount - 720p
The only bar mounted version I have is on FB - try this link VIDEO

Thanks, that was really helpful. It is now reset to 720p/60fps ready for my early morning ride tomorrow. 🙂
