Fitted a loaned 2.1 Kenda Nevegal to my bike this evening an it looked like a freaking tractor tyre compared to the 2.1 conti vapor that was it replaced. Are Kenda tyres massive or do Continental's come up small?
Also on a random side note, inflated the rear vapor to 55ish psi to seat the true properly and the inner tube literally exploded and blew the tyre of the rim. Lefty ears ringing and scared the hell out of the girlfriend. Anyone experienced similar before?

its the conti, they are skinny as. the 2.1 kendas arent massive compared to some. the gf has a michelin 2.1 that is bigger than a 2.3
and yes, i have blown a tyre off the rim with a foot pump, square in the face. I have never fully recovered
In my experience Contis come up small while Kendas are the opposite, so I'd say a bit of both.
I think Conti tyre sizes are shocking. I've just changed 2.4 mountain kings, much smaller than nevagals for 2.4 rubber queens, which are ****in massive, way way bigger than the kendas. My bike looks like it will be great on a the beach now, she may even float there that big.... ๐ฏ

I don't think I'll ever hit 55 psi again. The weird thing is I pumped that very tube in the same tyre up to 60+ psi the previous week??
Compared the Vapor to a 1.9 Conti Double Fighter this morning and they look the same size! Bike looks much better with big tyres on it now I reckon.
