Methinks I might be getting carried away, a spreadsheet has been made.

Background is, been thinking of changing my HT frame for a while now. Currently on a dialled PA (15) and while I love it to bits its too small (me 176cm).

Considering swapping out for either a larger PA, a soul or a kinesis XC130.

Kinda want all of the fun of the current bike but more room to breath! At the moment its a bit cramped on the climbs.

Also considering something a little more light with a small nod to 'racy' hence the kinesis making the short list. Open to other suggestions btw. (26 for easy swap)

What really matters is that I keep a fun to ride XC HT. If it can be ok for the odd bikefest then even better.

In the quest to get something a bit bigger and lighter I know seem to have started a spreadsheet of frames and virtual toptubes.

Have a suspicion it's not quite as simple as that and other geometry needs considered. Currently running 120 forks but on a u-turn. Thoughts?

Or just buy that s/h M soul on ebay at the moment, get it resprayed something non standard and go play...

Many years ago it was the fashion to ride a bike too small for you with a really long post and stem, amazing when you look back at it now! Ride as many of your mates bikes as possible as the numbers may look right for you but may not like the way it rides, I go for a longish top tube with a short stem and wide bars as I ride more xc stuff, someone else may hate my bike, horses for courses!

Yep, can't argue with that.

Will have to find someone who has the kinesis and take it for a spin.
