But the top 3 fastest times on Alpe D’Huez Strava in real life aren’t people I’ve ever heard of either…

I don't actually think any of those 3 are real people, if you look at their ride history, they all ride together, post near identical times on climbs, have no HR data, live in San Francisco and ride in Europe and have only done a few hundred KM's on Strava. They also have dozens and dozens of KOM's
Ant+ emulator springs to mind
Those top three times all look bent as anything.
Exactly. All 3 times exactly the same with 3 dodgy looking names.
Again, computers involved i,e. Strava - don't trust.
Stopwatch recording riders physically riding up a hill - do trust (Or at least trust the times even if you can't trust the riders not to be drugged up)
My power meter readings are exactly the same indoors and out, both taken from a stages crank. The numbers I can put out indoors and outdoors are pretty much identical, slightly lower indoors due to overheating etc but that's the norm
I've got the tacx app and ridden sa colabra on it, and also ridden it in real life. I'm a couple of minutes faster on the app (i was fitter and put out 10 or more watts average) than when I rode the real thing. But basically the two compare fairly well.
If your power source is accurate (And tbf most mid range turbos aren't, my tacx flux was miles off), then the times up virtual hills are pretty realistic.
Anyone that can go up alp duez on zwift in 20 min however is clearly cheating or has a power meter that is way way out.
He (Mig) also won multiple TdF’s, held the hour record and was smacked off his Spanish tatas on EPO for a huge amount of his career
Taking EPO 14 years before can have had no effect.
We'll leave if he did for another time

But its certainly considered that the gains made during that period of let's face it, extensive usage, will benefit you well beyond the actual period.
