Riding over Coniston next weekend and have a few routes pulled off for it from gpsies.com and the singletrack PDFs but a few personal reccommendations would be good too.

Cheers..

Garburn is a long way from Coniston...

Walna Scar might be an acceptable alternative

Just a heads up about Ambleside for the 4th/5th Sept - its the great north swim in Windermere so I reckon traffic/parking over that way could be a bit of a shocker. According to the website there are 9,000 people taking part ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Er... I logged it with my tracks so might have... i'll have a rummage around. I can deffo send you the MMO tho.

You wont go wrong with them 2 though mate. I would say they were the best routes when based in Coniston.

Dont forget to get a pint of Olivers Pale Ale in the Bull.. ,uch nicer than the Bluebird... but they do charge like a wounded rhino.

*EDIT*
Well I "think" I;ve sent it to you from my phone. Let me know if it works or not.

Erm, the great North swim is based around Ambleside\Waterhead, the routes above all start in Consiton, if there is a parking problem in the Consiton area something has gone horribly worng !!
