Fancying a trip up here sometime when quietish, already done descent off summit via low water which was mega tech to tarn and then a real joy down to Coniston and also done Swirl How down into Greenburn Beck in Langdale which was awesome (dry conditions only though!)

Does anyone have experience of the other two options, Swirl How down to Levers water and Wetherlam down to Coniston.

Would Prison band be mostly rideable?

Thanks

The Prison band involves bits of scrambling when walking so pretty sure you can't ride much of it

Prison band is off the Richter in terms of difficulty,I have done it a few times and its surprisingly good although its one of those with multi line choices and if you need to stop its very hard to get going again, if you enjoy the challenge of Rossett Gill then its well worth having a go, Its a popular walkers route too so avoid Sundays at all costs.

Wetherlam to Coniston is exellent to, turning right to the copper mines (Techy) or left towards Tilberthwaite farm (fast and flow single track) swirl how to leavens is not one i would rate as a descent

Sounds like a plan to me, this all mountain stuff is too good! Which path off wetherlam, take the one closest to levers or the next one over? If turning left to tilberthwaite is it boggy or good going?
