I'm about to build a s/s for commuting and rat bike purposes.
Mainly I want a bike that I really like riding - that way I'll ride it more often...
The Pista build I specced is £1200 and I'm sure it'll be a great bike.
But I can get a Pompino with a 'good enough' build for less than half the price...
So my heart says Pista, head says Pompino.
Unfortunately I can't test ride the Pompino to compare... which would be the obvious answer...
I don't realy like pompino's bit agricultural for me but would baulk at £1200 for a fixie, (my px came out a lot cheaper than that) what about a langster, fuji or even one of these;

pompino is heeeavvy. Condor is too many pounds. Pearson?
I've just read the roadcc review of the Pompino... maybe not.
£1200 is a lot but it's good quality spec and the plan is to get something really nice that'll last and that I ride a lot so I don't mind the obvious 'how much?'
Do you have something else you'd rather spend the money on? If not then get the bike you want.
Precursa from Dolan, either full bike or build yourself
In situations like these who the hell ever listens to their head? Go with the heart or save the money and spend it on something else bike related!
