We went yesterday. There is some ice around, mainly on fire roads, but pretty wet. Didn't bother with Deer Stalker, Labyrinth etc.

Car park was like a skating rink. However, it rained whilst we were out and there has been rain during the night too.

As I said, there's been more drizzly rain so ice will have gone. The aggregated trails are holding up though.

Rain is forecast for 3.00 pm.

Enjoy your new bike. ๐Ÿ™‚

rode it on christmas day when it still had lots of ice and snow, labrynth, jump gully, tank traps and the other thing we did were fine.

No offence intended but im surprised people wimp out of riding swinley when the conditions are worse than bone dry.

Actually, I think I need to hibernate. I used to ride in all weathers but these days I really can't be bothered to! Reckon it's cos there's just more wet weather. ๐Ÿ™„

I'm waiting for some new disk rotors before my sanderson gets its first ride there too!

About time, the frames been sat in my parents store room for the last 2 years!

Ash Ranges was a gritty bike munching mess yesterday, I'd expect nothing less of Swinley!

I steer clear of it in the winter as it just turns to a boggy mess and there are other, less popular, trails nearby which don't ๐Ÿ™‚

I tend to leave Swinley alone when it's filthy not because I'm scared of getting wet/muddy, more because it ruins the trails and there's other places to ride that don't get as much traffic.

Well, people tend to be reluctant to venture out with a map for some good old-fashioned exploring.

I'm quite happy for everyone to go to Swinley and leave the countryside bridleways empty for me. ๐Ÿ˜‰

And, gee, yes you are correct. There are other trails in the vicinity!
