Is it a bog right now or mostly rideable as I am going for a night time jaunt on Wednesday and will go to Holmbury if Swinley is pants.

Thanks.

Well, in case you hadn't noticed, it rained a lot on Sunday.

So there are puddles to ride through.

Does Swinley ever really become unrideable?

You could always keep to the armoured trails!

I have seen it worse than it was on Sunday. However there's been a lot of rain this morning.

Ideal for single speeding if you ask me 8)

not really, but it's a bit shit compared to holmbury.
Personally I'd only go to Swinley if Holmbury was bogging

There will be crap bits and good bits. Swinley is mostly quite loamy so it's not like you'll get loads of claggy mud you need to clean off though.

gave swinley a miss this morning - can't be arsed with all the laundry and bike cleaning. It's gonna be wet for a while.

I like both and Swinley is a bit nearer and on the way home for riding buddies. I have no problems with water or mud thanks Dez but swinley does tend to get sticky off the hard pack trails which slows you down lots, just wondered if it had drained well since Sunday or was properly swamped.

Might just go to Holmbury anyway it's better ride all round.

I've just noticed my ealier reply came over as rather stroppy. Sorry about that. The use of ๐Ÿ™‚ or ๐Ÿ˜‰ would probably have helped ๐Ÿ˜€

Get your skinny mud tyres on and go for it, Swinley is a great workout in the wet, and you only need to rinse your bike to get it clean afterwards! ๐Ÿ˜›
