Chatting with a triathlete yesterday and he reckoned compression shorts really improved his cycling. I don't really know what they do - are they worth a try or are they just another gimmick?

Can't see shirts helping much with cycling and compression shorts just sound uncomfortable, I'll pass.
Have actually got some aldi compression tops which may not have been all that compressive to begin with and I wear XL (when I'm quite a long way from XL sized) so perhaps unsurprisingly I can't say I've noticed a difference.
