Apart from some bruises and loss of skin, the brunt of the tumble was taken by my yoghurt, makes a bit of a mess in your bag, I can tell you!

Careful out there kids.

An icy corner on your commute can equal more than messy yoghurts (smashed up collarbone for me).

Turns out it wasn't just me, just met a limping colleague who came off on the exact same stretch.

Yep icy in east ayrshite this morning, fortunately I had to take the car today anyway. Back on it tomorrow though but its supposed to warm up overnight.

Had a bad fall on ice last year so I'm pretty wary of riding when its icy now.

I thought only girls could lose their cherry by riding bikes?

It looks colder again on thursday morning Gary. Was just outside Troon, black ice for about 50 yards.

Well that's handy as I need to take the car on Thursday too ๐Ÿ™‚

I go across the fenwick moor/eaglesham moor, usually big patches of ice near floak. I can use the road rather than the cycle path but the edge of the road can be lethal.

Well on the EK side of the moor it was a chilly minus 2 at 0700 and cars thick with ice ๐Ÿ™‚

No frost really, just ice on the car. It was about 3 degrees at 7:30.

Don't see the problem, I can't stand black cherry yoghurt.

Tyres would have made bugger all difference, unless they were ice spikers.
