[#264725]

Went on a Bothy trip to Wales this weekend, it was freezing (-3 this morning!) wet, boggy and one of the most fun weekends in a long time. Went for a long ride, popped back to the car, got dried, ate in a pub then went to the Bothy. Fantastic!! We then had a cheese and wine party in the Bothy in front of the roaring logburner 🙂 Good Times!
Then this morning we cooked breakfast and headed back with it trying to snow.

That was one of the best weekends we've had in a long while.

Made even betterer by the extra cold weather, company and location.

I was passing there (bothy) Saturday afternoon so I popped my head round the door.
You weren't there but I met a young lady and a poodle.

Oh Aye, I get where. Was going to stay thee once on a bothy trip a few years ago, it was a little ambitious. Passed it on the way home. It looked leaky...

Excellent spot. Its a good ride from there to the other local bothies too for a tour if ever you feel like it. And the drop down from the top of the valley is awesome!

Son and mother were out walking when I called. I advised the girl to get their sleeping bags on the beds.
And I'm a die-hard waterbottle user.

They're dry bags from Alpkit tied on with straps!

The son was a fan of Ray Mears although it looked like he ate him rather than watched him!!

KoS watch who you're calling mincers!

I'm arranging a MTB-Wales trip to Moel P very soon. Coal is already laid in and well hidden. Google 'Tywi Track' or 'Tywi Spashes' or 'Strata Florida'
