Col du Tourmalet is indeed an awesome place to be. Was there a fw weeks ago when they were resurfacing the western side ready for the Tour...

Tourmalet's a doddle, relatively.

Wouldn't go as far as 'doddle'- it depends how fast you go up it :O) Though to be fair it wasn't nearly so tough as racing a mate up Hautacam in the AM then up Luz Ardiden in the PM. The latter is EVIL by comparison.

Col de T is not a doodle for me but the conditions were not the best in may this year great place, really well worth doing
