Where do people recommend for camping near Coed Y Brennin?

Somewhere with decent facilities and quiet/away from roads ideally.

Cheers

Barcdy campsite up on the Harlech road has great pitches up in the trees overlooking the estuary, about 20 mins from CYB.

We've tended to stay at Torrent Walk just outside Dolgellau

It has terraces for camping, clean and warm showers and secure bike storage.

Stayed at Cae Gwyn recently which has a lovely location within easy riding distance of CyB http://www.caegwynfarm.co.uk/index.htm

+1 Cae Gwyn Farm. Fine facilities, breathtaking views at dawn as the sun illuminates the hill side and burns off the mist.

Cae Gwyn is perfect - had a night there last week in the B&B and it couldn't have been better. Lovely camping spot, or they've got the bunkhouse as well. Bike wash, showers, bike store and, as others have said, it's a stones throw from CyB.

Ah, but don't forget your midge spray if you go there (handily they do sell some if you forget).

And don't forget that after a long day's biking, then a bit of relaxing in the cafe, a peruse of the bike shop... you've still got to ride back up that hill to the campsite! I'm sure it's bigger in the uphill direction...

Vanner.co.uk
just spent a week there, cheap/quiet and good facilities, oh and a nice quiet 5 mile back road straight up into Cyb.

+1 for Cae Gwyn, although being low in the valley it sits in the cold air and doesn't really get direct sunlight until hours after "normal" sunrise.

Also has wifi coverage in front of the courtyard.
