Hi

Does anyone know if there is a 'real' problem with using thesewith Genuine Innovations inflators (or is it just a licensing thing).

I would have thought that one CO2 cartridge is the same as the next ...

thanks

Have you ordered threaded or unthreaded?

I will await your feedback ...

I have bought cheapo cartridges from ebay before for my innovations inflator. Neither lots worked, they look identical but there must be a slight difference in size which resulting in the cartridge not seating snug enough - lots of co2 everywhere except in tyre. Best just to buy the cheapo inflators and not the innovations ones.

I've used the threaded ones with no problems. Occasionally you get a dud that has leaked, but that's not often.

I always buy their own brand ones, and have never any dramas, infact, I've just ordered a box of 30 as we speak..

midlifecrisis I was going to order the non-threaded ones earlier this year. I sebt tyreinflators an e-mail and got the response below. And I also thought it was something to do with licencing.

Basically the neck size on Innovations cartridges are ever so slightly smaller. We would recommend you therefore use the threaded ones where possible.

I ordered the non-branded threaded ones and they have been fine.

Thanks for all the great feedback here.

I guess my options are:
1 - stick with my Innovations inflator and buy Innovations branded threadless cartridges
2 - buy a different inflator and buy unbranded cartridges.

A quick search of the internet suggests option 2 will work out cheaper.

Anyone want a used once Innovations inflator like this??

I'd got for option 2, the prices of branded cartridges is crazy.

Yeh i switched to option 2. Inflator does exactly same job, cartridges are cheaper. No brainer.
