Anyone on here do it today?
Blimey, it was muddy. Midgeley moor was horrid!
Good turnout though & the chilli at the finish was lovely

Yep, Had to retire at Hardcastle Crags due to 'mechanical issues' Had to convert to SS & ride back to base ๐Ÿ™

First time i have ever had to retire from an event on either Road or Mtb & it wasn't nice ๐Ÿ™

There again next year though!!!!

Got round in 2h 31m so reasonably happy with that. Had an early mechanical issue on the first tarmac hill, but managed to resolve things well enough to complete the course. As ever the Stake Lane (slippy cobbles into Mytholmroyd) and Midgley Moor descents were arse-clenchingly challenging, but great fun. It's a well run event with a good route and was once again well supported.

Anyone who even attempted it in todays conditions deserves a medal. Did it a couple of uears ago and the mud was bad enough then and it wasn't actually raining that day.

I did the CMBM yesterday and fortunately, completed it without sustaining injury or mech failure. Ditto the comments re: Midgely Moor. What an utter bastard from start to treacherous finish. I pitched into a puddle - full body - just to add a little pazazz.

Great event though - and the signing and marshalling was much better this year.

The chilli was good and they even had a bottle of Encona hot pepper sauce to heat it up to your taste.

Not cleaned the bike yet though...
