I'm wondering if you good folks can help me diagnose where an annoying noise is coming from.
It only happens when I'm in the granny ring grinding up a hill. It's a sort of clicking/clunking sound that usually happens when the right pedal is at the top of the stroke. I've taken the pedal off and regreased it, which seems to have helped a little, but it's still happening (pedals are DMR V8s which have been slightly abused, if that helps).
Any ideas?

If it's only in the granny, then your first port of call is the chainring bolts holding it on(or not, as the case may be).
