[Closed] Cleat bolt torque settings

A bit confused about this - Shimano suggest 5Nm; Time suggests a slightly eye-watering 35Nm - I suspect this latter might be a misprint as the bolts are too soft.

Anyone able to advise?

I'd roll with 5nm. As you state the Time is probably a misprint of 3-5nm.

You'll probably pull the cleat through the sole if you attempt a 35nm setting... (Edit. tongue-in-cheek, before anyone gets tech on my arse)

I've always done mine up "bastard" - after lots of heavy grease on the threads
