i find the solution is that when you stop you remove the offending eye wear ....

replace when you start again ....

if this is not adaquate - stop less ride more 😀

steaming eyewear is no more

next problem please 😀 - greeces debt you say......

I use a little bit of silicon grease on mine both inside and out and it stops them steaming up and helps the water to bead off.

on a long slow climb they steam up too!

to get rid you have to ride almost blind for a few seconds until the air can circulate and remove the steam - which is obviously a little dangerous!

I buy Bolle safety glasses, anti fog, anti scratch, CE impact approved, better quality than some £100 'cycling' glasses. Various styles available, (I like the Contour) and cost around a tenner a pair off ebay 8)

Check styles here http://www.bolle-safety.com/Lunettes-a-branches--1385.html

I suffer badly from this problem on damp, still night rides.
A few ideas that might read-across from scuba diving

I've heard about the potato method before but never tried it. I've also heard of a couple of folk having used rainex or similar. That would be my preferred option. I must remember to pick some up next time I'm in town.

Muc Off also do an anti-fog spray, expensive but does work. Really needs applying before every ride.

Easy. Rub some washing up liquid onto them, and polish until you have a clear finish. This will stop almost all the steaming up problem, always worked for me when riding, even in damp and steamy woodland type places.

If this isn't enough, get one of those sports band things that fits over the arms, it allows you to remove the glasses, just drop 'em off onto your chest on the climbs.

Turtlewax. Inside and out. Try it. It works. 😉

From the days when I commuted by motorcycle I have tried all the ticks mentioned on here - the only effective one is the bob heath spray

My M-Frames do.

I now give them a spray soaking with the MucOff anti-fog stuff before I get in my car to drive somewhere, or 1/2 hour before I set of from the house, and then polish it off when I am ready to ride.

Seems to work ok.

Candlewax is the best thing I've found. It works really well. Rub some on from an old candle, then buff it on both sides of the lenses with a clean cloth. If needed, a little bit of heat makes life easier. It lasts quite well too.

I got these from work. Should be for work but use them on the bike.
