Any good tips and methods for getting these clean inside as part of a service?

I use the long bottle brush and degreaser and then dry out with rag on wooden dowel 🙂

and then drop/force in a ferret to 'clean' out the hamster, remembering to hang on to its tail. Once the red stuff has stopped seeping out the bottom pull said ferret out by the tail 🙂 - job done

But don't use anything that will cause the seals to swell (assuming you leave them in).
