Got myself a full face for big rides into the peaks when I'm on my own, just a second hand jobby, just felt really claustrophobic when I was out, struggled for breath. Anyone else have this, does it go away and you get used to it?

I'm the same with motorcycle helmets, it goes away as the fear of not being able to get the helmet off soon subsides (at least that's usually what sets me off!)

I'd be worried if I was wearing a second hand helmet too.

That aside, sure it fits right? Not too tight? What sort is it?

I wouldn't wear my 661 on anything more than a downhill run.

It's not pleasant for more than 8-10 mins max, certainly not just pottering.

You need a removable chin bar type thing like the Bell Super 2R if you're wanting to ride (rather than descend) I think

Seriously...a full face for big rides!? Your head's going to shrink from sweating so much 😉

Why the need? Do you fall off and hit your chin a lot when you're on your own? If do spend some time on improving your skill levels, rather than suiting up.

You struggled for breath because full facers are absolutely terrible for breathing in if not going full speed. I'd be rethinking equipment choice
