How about we post on this if someone has done good. Just the name then we can just have a scan through. It might help.
Pridds.
'IA' off here.
Without a doubt the best experience I've ever had. Better than ANY online shop in fact.
One of the good guys.

Cheers ๐ As they say, it's nice to be nice/treat others as you'd like to be treated.
Maybe been lucky so far, but been happy with the service I've received from everyone on the classifieds I've dealt with in the past.
A better option is, after a succesful sale/purchase, post a message to that end on the original ad. That way an informal 'feedback' is built around sellers and buyers, all easily found by scanning someone posting history
Posting on the original ad shows what was bought, the seller can post about how quickly the payment was recieved, the buyer can say how quickly the stuff arrived, and any argument shenanigans will kept within that thread.
Done to death here:

yep IHN but last time i checked any of my old classifieds threads, not one bit of feedback positive or negative
rats - just checked and the inbred frame was recieved. think that counts as neutral.
some might say that as it was an inbred frame that its arrival constitutes negative feedback as standard?
Yeah, it needs pushing more so it becomes common practice. Got to start somewhere.
Do you leave feedback on sales? It's a start...
There is a system for buying and selling with feedback. It's called eBay.
You pays your money.....
Vortexracing. Used twice recently, spot on!
good point IHN.
A feedback/review section on each members profile would be a good way of checking if they are legitimate buyers/sellers.
I've bought and sold quite a bit on here, would like to think I'd have some good feedback, also got a lot of good feedback to give.

This a million times. It works well on other forums and would be very easy to implement surely.
Went back over my last 10 pages and left feedback from any sales I've posted on. There is likely more but I didn't post, just emailed direct.
Thanks for that.

But you can leave feedback on the original classifieds thread, no work needed by the STW code monkeys and easy as anything to search.
Agree with the follow up post on the original for sale thread. Its open to abuse but the majority of folk on here are on the level.
I think IHN has a good point. I buy and sell gear occasionally and fortunately always been happy. A newbie on here bought some forks from me recently and was quite happy to bank transfer. I know i'm legit and hopefully honourable but he didn't and I warned him after sale to be on his guard. He was v. happy with sale. I think a good/bad/neutral review at the end of a thread is an good idea. The only downfall i can think of is people getting 2 or 3 user names and 'selling' themselves non-existent gear to build a reputation. All i can say is if you're in any doubt don't buy no matter how tempting and use paypal ( not gift) for some sort of security.I know it costs but if you're happy with price a few percent for peace of mind is worth it..
