[Closed] Clarks dirt shield help

Anyone used these? They don't fit like I expected, though I've not used sealed cables before. Zero usefulness to instructions, but.... £10 in the sale and braided which match the brake hose. Gore prices means I'm on bread and water for a week (well almost).

The cable ends with the straws have got me stumped. Straw won't go through the stop on the rear mech. Won't insert into the extra length of inner sleeve to seal bare cable runs because, well, it is inner sleeve and it's the same damn size. I guess some masking tape could join them, but surely not? So I just don't get their way of sealing it up.

That's a plea for help by the way.
