cwmcarn at the moment is more like june than march, but whats church stretton like at the moment? winter tyres & muddy still?

TBH I don't think winter tyres are ever needed up the Longminge.
We'll be there tomorrow on the tandem give us a shout if you see us.

Where do you start from Stu? I'm thinking of going up tomorrow (I sold you the Thompson seatpost for your Tandem)

Either there or Eastridge.

We're heading up there tomorrow. Haven't ridden there for quite a while so should be good.

Back to the OP, you shouldn't need winter tyres unless you spend all day going up and down Minton Batch, then there're only a few sections at the bottom where they'd come in handy. Keep away from the farm tracks on the East side near the tarmac road back up to the top. Unless you want to see Red Kites.
