Hope somone can clarify this - Just fitted a King headset that I have had for a couple years but noticed that there isn't a split ring that pushes down the fork and takes up the gap between bearing and fork now the the cap that you put on next appears to fit snuggley onto the bearing without being to tight? Maybe I am imagineing it or looking for somthing that shouldn't be there maybe even its all part of the griplock cap and just didn't notice.
Thanks & apologie's if it makes no sense what so ever.

The bearing races go straight into the headtube top and bottom. Into the bottom race and onto the fork there should be one piece aluminium cone (no split).

So 4 bits plus a head cap!

You can have a Griplock cap if you want one.
