As title really
Experiences good and bad. Are they worth the extra and whats the grease injection took like.
Cheers
I have them on both my bikes and so far they have been great. The biggest advantage is being able to grease them which keeps them well lube and running smooth.
In my opinion I think they are expensive but worth it - so far.
I've been running mine for 10 months and greased 3 times. Still runs like new and is on the most used bike. Excellent BB compared with all the others on the market that I have used over the years.
Hate to hijack the post, but i have one too (which i love) and have the tool for greasing it up... Anyway, what grease are you guys using with it? I was tempted to use the same marine grease that came with my santa cruz for the vpp grease ports, but thought that may be too thick for a bottom bracket...
Been thinking whether they're worth it recently also. In the end I stuck with the m970 one which you can get for £35 and are really quite good. I get 2 years out of them. At £130 including the tools from av which was the best price I could find, the ck really wasn't worth it. Bit of bling really, that's not to say bling isn't good, just I thought the money could be better spent elsewhere
On a side note, they should totally make a similar grease injection tool for king headsets!
