I'd look at strava.

Or get in contact with WWW.midaircrisis.co.uk as people ride their regularly. They will also be able to advise on any other local bits and pieces. The Thursday night rides are a good intro to local stuff.

I ride with that lot and was planning on heading down Thursday after work. Register for their forum if you're interested.

There is a nice loop in the beyond hamsterley book which the gpx file can be found online. This forms the basis of what we ride.

Dan, when are able to ride ? weekends and evening are can you get out daytime through the week ? Have got some lights ?

Chopwell has some great riding but to link it all up takes a few rides to get your eye in.

Beamish also has some great xc trails, but again you would be better going with someone who knows there way around.

I would love to show you around but I will not be able to for about 3 weeks due to injury and work. PM me if you are interested ๐Ÿ˜€

Check out the oddsox.
