Can anyone out there provide any insight on a decent well priced chinese light?

Have had a solarstorm X2 and a yinding I preferred the yinding
The yinding can be bought from fasttech

I read and posted in that thread....

Yes you can buy a Chinese light for £30 with no overcharge/discharge protection in the battery/charger and take a chance that it does`nt explode. You might get lucky and get one that lasts a while....

Or, you could buy something like the Hope R4, ( i ended up paying £125) and rest in the knowlegde that it`ll be just great.

Was out last night and the other guys 'Chinese' lights seemed far better than my old Exposure combo - so took a punt on a £25 ebay special this morning. 7200lumens with a 6-pack battery.

Probably still will buy a new Exposure helmet light, once I work out which one - as I like how they 'work' etc.

Aye, but I was definitely a shadow in their lights when in front.

It'll be handy as a spare searchlight for the fast descents.
