Hi folks. Any recommendations on chinese made carbon gravel rims from sites in China or Aliexpress?
Mine weren’t gravel rims but I’d happily use Lightbicycle again 👍
I've built several sets of wheels for MTB and CX/Gravel with LightBicycle rims with no issues. I'm just building some now as it happens - they even come with a glossy user manual now.
For gravel CRC/wiggle have some very heavily reduced Czar 28h rims. Think they were £200 instead of £500. That's not far off LB pricing for a light rim.
I have 12 sets of Lightbicycle and Nextie rims and would happily recommend both. One set has done 4 years of commuting in all weathers and another has has 5 years of MTBing.
Used light bicycle ar46 rims on my gravel bike and never had an issue. I’d probably buy slightly wider next time but no complaints from me!
I have been happy with light bicycle for MTB wheels, and am just waiting for a pair of gravel wheels to arrive (Thursday fingers crossed).
Thanks folks! Yep I have used light bikes before, but their prices have crept up and there seem to be plenty of other offerings on aliexpress, but as with others I'm slightly wary.
I was wondering if anyone had got some from aliexpress or alternatives to Lightbicyles
the prices have crept up mainly due to being priced in USD and our exchange rate being lousy.
I’ve had/got 8 sets of LB in use, only ever cracked one rim on a clumsy rock interface, totally my fault. I’m currently using the WR35/50 for gravel bike and they’re excellent wheels.
