[#9946182]

Any locals around that can tell me how wet and muddy the Chilterns are at the moment.ย  I've stayed away since seeing Noah out with his chainsaw, but I'm missing those rolling hills and rooty singletrack.

Weather looks OK for the rest of the week, so I'm contemplating a ride from Watlington on Saturday.

Horribly muddy on Sunday near Amersham. I was pedaling to go down hill. It's since rained again. Might dry out a bit but the ground's still soaked.

Did a loop from Ewelme on Sunday. Some bits (like Grims Ditch) amazingly dry. Other bits in the woods (Mongewell) like the Somme. Local loop south of Amersham today beginning to dry out. Make of that what you will.....

Seems we are still a way off decent riding.ย  Water table is high, trees and stuff haven't yet sucked the water out.
