Just picked up a Charge Filter with drop bars. I like the idea of keeping the drops but the primary purpose of this bike is dropping off my daughter at the child minders on my way to work. She'll be sitting on the back in a child seat.
I'm not convinced drop bars and sti brake levers is the safest option. I've got all the bits to convert to flat bars.
Any suggestions / thoughts?

Can she not reach the drops or something ?

No, I can reach the drops fine. But I'm very aware that drops means more of head down and less of a looking out for traffic. I will of course be on the hoods at lot but then braking is never quite as good. Plus if I go to flat bars I can use My Tiagra v brakes which seem to be stronger than the avid cantis currently fitted.
