[Closed] Child seat on carbon frame?

Is this a nono? It's a hamax that attaches to the seat tube via a bracket. If no, would it be safe to attach to the seatpost?

I wouldn't - even on pretty chunky steel/alu frames, I've seen dents left behind from Hamaxes... Assuming that you don't have rack mounts then I'd look at using a different bike.

As for rear/front mounted seats, I'm not so sure. My kids have both loved the rear seats. YMMV

they're really not designed to have forces acting ont hem like that - most manufacturers even recommend not clamping the tubes for maintenance. Having 2 stone of seat and kid bouncing around on a clamp around the tubes can't be good for them.
