Anyone had any coaching from Tom Dowie at Chicksands?
I'm thinking of booking up for a couple of hours jumps & drops with him, so wondered if anyone had any experience.

I know UK Bike Skills (Jedi on here I think) comes highly recommended, but the Chicksands operation is more convenient location and lower cost as don't need to book up for a full day session

Cheers.

Cheers Bagstard, just found it.

I was looking at doing the same recently, but my googling didn't come up with any upcoming courses, clearly I wasn't very thorough.

It is a pefect venue for jumps and drops and Tom has a good reputation. I'm doing a skills course and guided ride at Forest of Dean this weekend.

I know 2 people who have had coaching with Tom, both were very happy.

I had exactly this from Tom.

He was very good, listened to what skills i wanted to improve on and focussed exactly on that. Had two hours to improve my jumping doubles/dirt jumps. I can ride most trail stuff pretty well, but didn't feel at home on jumps larger than about 3m.

He told me what i needed to change to get better. Recommended.

Did a coached course a couple of years ago with Tom Dowie.
He is the coolest guy I've met for a long time and yes, my riding was way better afterwards.
