I've just entered the 58k Cheddar Challenge as part of my pre-Mayhem build up.
Any of the STW community any experiences of the event or local riding conditions, tyres, technical climbs etc?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated! 😕

It is a new event. I think it effectively replaces the kona organised event but is a new format. Pete from bike city has been involved in organising the route. Hoping to do it myself as I am local.

Never done the new event. The old challenge used to be a fairly non-technical mud slog up fairly steep hills.

Hoping the weather is good in May but who knows? What are typical trail conditions / tyre recommendations (light weight HT & hefty bloke combination!!)?
