This bike is owned by an old boy at my work. He's a lorry driver for the company and enjoys a spot of mountain biking around the forest of dean at night. On this! I know you don't need to be flash to enjoy our hobby but is this not taking the phrase "doing it on a shoe string" a bit far. Fair play to the old ****er. Makes me chuckle every time I walk past the bike rack.

liking it
Not to my taste but its a bike and it sounds well loved so good on him
If it had Santa Cruz on the downtube you'd have your cock out...
Remember going into Halfords aged about 12 and wanting one of those......
What is that blue, welly boot thing hanging off the crossbar?

Sawn of cordless-drill battery holder by the looks of things.
That would be the bottom of a drill. For some home made lights no doubt?
EDIT: beat me to it ๐
crikey
I have got my cock out.
Ok, if it said Santa Cruz on the downtube you'd expect me to get my cock out too....
Its the heat. I'm naked ๐
I was going to say "there's a litle bit of sheldon brown in there" but can't now you're all naked and that. Just wouldn't be right.
he could probably halve the weight of that by taking off all the extra stuff.
Looks like a GT triple triangle frame?
Excellent.
I'm not sure the 'securing bracket' for the head unit of the homemade light is going to be that effective.
EDIT - other than that it looks pretty sweet.
sorry, but it's all so wrong..
you have to admit it, there is no way that the pump colour matches the rest of the bike... he needs to change it
(putting clothes back on)
bike snobbery
Fandabbidosi!
FoD, in the dark, on a HT. Big Respect. I bet a fair few of the 'local stw riders' wouldn't turn up for a ride on this work of (f)art.
i'd say by riding that regularly on good trails like that, and having no wish for more bike, he's a more genuine rider than 90% of us. how many of us get more or less fired up to ride based on what we're riding? that's getting the priorities wrong. best ride i ever did was on one of the most wrecked bikes i've ridden, i mean 8 spd casette and 9spd shifter and blown shock level of wrecked, so i just got on and enjoyed the ride.
