In the market for some new XT clipless pedals, cheapest seem to be Merlin/CRC at £49.95. Anyone found cheaper recently?

Thanks

I think I used High on Bikes for about £45 a while back. Superb pedals!

High on bikes are the same at £50.
Just compared the XT M770 pedals and the non series M540 pedals on the Shimano website. Theonloy difference i can see is the pedal body on the M770 is painted while the M540 is natural and the M770 weighing a wopping 2g less.

I went for 540's for the same reasons you've mentioned as there appears to be little to no difference between them and XT's.

520's are a bit heavier. I also have some XTR's on the 'best' bike. Having used them all I can't really tell the difference between any of them in terms of action / support / reliability, just weight and bling factor.

We have 540s on the Rockhopper, 520s on the Allez and XTs on my Stumpy.

I just prefer the XTs... 😉

XT = M540 with reversed colours, innards are identical!
M540s FTW!
