So, have the opportunity to ride to work for the next six months. Don't wanna have to fanny about changing tyres off and on current wheels so what's the cheapest wheels and tyres I can get? Or any other ideas??

Buy a used hybrid off gumtree locally for the price of your wheels.

£100 will buy you a raleigh ten speed. Ride that. 6 months of commuting on your full sus will leave you requiring new chain, new pads, Probably new BB much quicker than normal, plus the cost of new wheels/tyres/tubes and the hassle of riding full sus on the road.

Also more likely to get stolen parking a nice FS up at work, or get hit by a car (hope you don't!) and damage your number 1 bike.

Spare wheels with Schwalbe marathon tyres.

Panniers attached to the post (quite a long post too).

20 mile round trip.
